Mystic Valley History students advance to State Finals

alt

On March 4, Mystic Valley sophomores participated at the district-level National History Day (NHD) competition. Malden residents Grace Dias and Joshua Cram will be moving on to the state competition next month with a second place showing with their documentary about Anita Hill. Ameera Omar received an honorable mention for her documentary titled “Galileo’s Stand Against Tradition,” and Jake Williams and Steven Nguyen also received an honorable mention for their group performance titled “KKK: Defunding the Rights as Americans.” Their honorable mentions make them eligible for the state competition if one of the qualifying groups from other schools is unable to attend.
